You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown is happening at Doherty in the auditorium Wednesday (April 9), Thursday (April 10), and Friday (April 11). This fun, full of laughs, and amazing musical is a take on the original stories of Charlie Brown brought to life right in front of your eyes. With the cast ranging from freshmen to seniors, the talent pool couldn’t be bigger and more stacked. I had the opportunity to really see how the cast interacts with each other and all you can pick up are positive vibes with a shared goal and passion for the art.
The cast, as mentioned, is spread out between freshmen all the way to seniors. The main character, Charlie, is played by Samuel Kibe, Lucy is played by Nicole Sequeira, Sally is played by Lauren Church, Linus is played by Jovani Dutremble, Schroder is played by CJ Franklin, and of course the unforgettable Snoopy is played by Sariah Davis.
The play is roughly 1 hour and 10 minutes and worth every minute. The cast has worked tirelessly and it shows. The amount of effort and energy everyone brings to the performance is heartwarming and equally impressive. In the words of director John Delorey, “This is one of the most talented cast, none of whom have ever been in a musical before. I am absolutely blown away by everyone including the technical hands.”
Wednesday (April 10) is the dress rehearsal which means tickets are free! Tickets for Thursday and Friday are $5 for students and $10 for general admission. Don’t miss it!
