BLEU DE CHANEL

Created by Jacques Polge for the French fashion house, Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum was released on September 13, 2010. It’s first ambassador for the men’s fragrance was French actor Gaspard Ulliel for a total of 12 years, until his sudden death in January of 2022 at the age of 37. He was also the first male ambassador for Chanel. The cause of his death was a skiing collision in the Alps, according to his agent’s office and local authorities. Actor Timothée Chalamet succeeded him afterwards back in May of 2023. The prices range from (USD) 5 FL. OZ. for $205, 3.4 FL. OZ. for $165, and 1.7 FL. OZ. for $132.
Overall Scent & Notes
Top notes include grapefruit, lemon, mint, and pink pepper. Heart (middle) notes include ginger, nutmeg, jasmine, and Iso E Super. Base notes include incense, vetiver, cedar, New Caledonian sandalwood, patchouli, labdanum, and white musk. Other woody notes included in the men’s fragrance are tonka bean and vanilla. In my opinion, it has a very versatile scent, suitable for any occasion or weather. Unlike other confidence-boosting and strong men’s fragrances, Bleu de Chanel has an inviting tone to it. Its impressive longevity and high-quality composition help the wearer stand out with understated elegance, making it appropriate for the office, a date night, or maybe even a quick shopping spree! I would say the fragrance leans more on the masculine side of the wearer. To wrap things up, I would rate this an 8 out of 10!
Dupes for this fragrance include Zara Vibrant Leather and Zara Apple Juice EDT, both known for their similar takes on Bleu de Chanel’s woody and citrus notes. What other dupes can you find?
