Labor day is formally known as a day to honor the achievements of hard working Americans. Informally well, it signals fair season and long weekend! And what’s better than a long weekend mixed in with the Spencer Fair?
As you probably have guessed by now the Spencer Fair is in fact in Spencer. This ran this year from August 29 to September 1st, changing every year but always on labor day weekend. To get in you pay a 18$ admission then based on if you go earlier in the days or not you can purchase a wrist band or have to resort to singular tickets. 4-6 tickets per ride.
For a fair you would think, it can’t be this big. Oh boy, but it is! One part of the fair is games and rides. Ring toss, photo booths, Ferris Wheel, Roch n’ Roll, you name it. Let me tell you one thing about the Spencer Fair, you have to try the Rock n’ Roll. This ride contains cards going in a line, one to three people per seat and the ride just keeps going faster! Hang on the railing if you don’t want to crash into your friends and family or even a random stranger!
Another part of the fair was food itself. Endless supply of pizza, mozzarella sticks, ice cream, gyros, sausages, cotton candy, coffee, hot chocolate, caramel apples and countless more that I haven’t named. So don’t worry you won’t be hungry in this Fair! With food, games, and rides, this also entails a concert stage with impersonates like Cher! This plus car exhibitions, farm animals and cattle area, and tents filled with more games, the night will never end.
If you didn’t go to the Spencer Fair this year, definitely take a peak in 2026, you will be amazed!
