Whoops and hollers to the girls volleyball! On a glamorous winning streak, it’s just getting better every game. Before winning 3-1 to Bartlett, this match up on October 1st landed Highlanders on top, now 3-0.
Not letting Bartlett score more than fifteen points each set, 1st set ended 25-13, 2nd 25-14, and 3rd 25-15. And oh, the stats line up.
Jenna Goudge (#24) and Sophia Ferrin (#3) hit a total of seven aces each in this match up. Avery Smith (#14), Sarah Laallami (#4) and Sophia Ferrin all had four kills with Mena Hoac(#12) with the icing on top contributing five kills. Ema Pengo (#15) stood out with fifteen assists, Paola Renxa (#8) and Hoac with two assists. Not stopping there, Goudge and Smith added to the grand total three digs each.
Continuing with the October 2nd game, Doherty went against North, and Doherty yet again dominated with a 3-0 game.
Jenna Goudge (#24) Elle Brenner (#9) and Mena Hoac were a triple threat by having six aces. Smith and Goudge had four kills with Hoac landing five kills. Ema Pengo proved herself again with fourteen assists, Renxa and Hoac following suit with two. Goudge put four digs into the mix, plus Laallami with three.
Still a few weeks left of the season to go, there are still more games to see and more epic plays to happen.
