During an interview with Allure – an American monthly magazine that focuses on beauty, health, fashion, and wellness for modern women – Anok Yai and Alex Consani shared their opinions, discussed the messages behind their platforms, and addressed the alleged “beef” between them that the media had created. Learn how both Alex Consani – a 22-year-old American model, influencer, and comedian who became the first transgender woman to receive the Fashion Award win of “Model of the Year” back in 2024, and Anok Yai – a 27-year-old South Sudanese-American model and visual artist who became the first Black woman since Naomi Campbell to open a Prada show – expressed their friendship and connection through a stunning and creative photoshoot. In this picture, both Yai and Consani are showcased with silver body glitter covering their bodies, emphasizing their individual poses and creating a sense of movement. Consani, on the left, has long, wavy hair and is posed with her head at the bottom, wearing a serious, almost poker-face expression. Yai glows with a stunning yet simple makeup look that complements the green background and water, including her eyeshadow and the highlighter on her cheek. Wearing a sheer dress that resembles the water, she is posed with her hip and face lifted, directly facing the camera. Her hair appears short but is likely styled in an updo, floating gracefully.

Like a golden retriever and a black cat, both Consani and Yai are posed hugging each other gracefully while looking directly at the camera. With poised expressions, Consani stuns in a fur-like coat, mirrored by Yai in a similar one, each showing off their respective hair colors. The grey, neutral-toned background makes their features stand out even more, keeping them as the main focus of the photoshoot.

From a different angle, with the same background and outfits as the previous photos, Yai’s white, flowy dress with ruffles on her side is visible. Consani wears a full dark brown dress with ruffles at the waist that match seamlessly with Yai’s dress. The two stand close together, their poses highlighting the harmony between their outfits.

Here, you can clearly see Consani’s sharp features, with unique earrings that draw the viewer’s attention to different parts of her face. With a wet, side-parted hairstyle, her natural makeup stands out even more. The subtle sparkle of her earrings catches the light, adding an extra touch of elegance.

With makeup as the main focus – aside from Yai’s natural and youthful features – you can now see her highlighter much more prominently. Featuring green, blue, and pink tones, her makeup perfectly highlights her captivating eyes and lips. The photo also showcases two uncommon angled-cut bangs, adding to the creativity of the entire photoshoot.

Best of all, the photoshoot’s final image showcases Consani and Yai inside a bubble. While Yai stares directly at her, Consani tilts her head down and gazes straight ahead. Posed close together, the blue-tinted bubble draws attention away from their shorter hairstyles, which frame their faces perfectly.
