What a successful night for Doherty! A night of honoring our school, building a stronger community, and all with complimentary cookies!
On October 8th, 2025, families gathered for our annual Know Your School Night. Exactly what it seems, this night entailed parents and guardians meeting their counselors in the cafeteria and visiting booths that had local businesses and programs from 5:30-6:30.
Straight after, from 6:30 to 8:30, parents and guardians got to follow their child’s bell schedule and meet their teachers. Braving the treacherous stairs, they had five minutes to get to each class and thirteen minutes of class time. Teachers went over their curriculum/syllabus.
Now, we can definitely say thank you to the teachers for their participation in Know Your School Night. We can also give a huge thank you to everyone that helped set up this well-planned night, and a shout out to the Student Council for assisting parents and guardians through their journey in the building. Another thank you to all the people that showed up at their table, specifically highlighting Recreation Worcester and the Worcester Public Library. And of course never forgetting our marketing students working the school store and custodians who tidied up Doherty, we know we all need a little tidying sometimes.
We appreciate everything everyone put in to showcase what our Doherty entails. But most of all, we are grateful for all of our families who came and attended, this was for you. We are constantly making our community stronger everyday.
