The annual Doherty Holiday Party, hosted by the 365Z Volunteer Club, brought joy and holiday cheer to the Doherty Faculty and their families this past Tuesday evening. From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., faculty members and their children gathered in the school’s decorated cafeteria for a night full of festive fun and heartwarming activities.
Led by the event-organized and dedicated Ms. Coporale, the event was a resounding success, thanks to the efforts of many hardworking volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything went off without a hitch. Their dedication to making this special evening memorable was evident in every detail.
A wide range of activities kept the kids – and even the parents – entertained. Children enjoyed sugar cookie decorating, a marshmallow toss, cup stacking, bracelet making, nail painting, and face painting. Laughter filled the air as everyone participated, with some parents joining in the fun, especially in the friendly competitions. The atmosphere was bright, festive, and uplifting, with everyone sharing in the holiday spirit.
Food was provided for all, including delicious pizza, assorted chips, and refreshing juice and water, ensuring no one went hungry during the fun-filled festivities.
As the night drew to a close, the excitement reached its peak when the children eagerly awaited the arrival of Santa Claus. The room erupted in joy as the kids chanted “Santa, Santa, Santa” and the Jolly Old Saint Nick made his entrance, ready to hand out gifts and pose for pictures. It was a magical moment for the kids, who chatted with Santa and told him their Christmas wishes.
After the children’s turn, the volunteers had the opportunity to meet the man in red and share a moment with Santa, capping off a wonderful evening of laughter, connection, and holiday cheer.
The night ended with happy smiles, full bellies, and a sense of community that made the 2024 Doherty Holiday Party one to remember.
Until next year, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
