I am a sophomore Student Council representative here at Doherty Memorial High School. I’m thrilled to be writing for the student newspaper, I hope to one day take my writing further and be the author of my own books. I hope to impact others, provide safety, and an escape from reality in my books like they have done for me. Other than reading and writing, sports are a big part of my life. I play softball, volleyball, and basketball. When I’m not playing one, I’m definitely playing the other. Another hobby of mine is playing guitar and violin, or simply listening to music on Spotify with headphones on blast. There is something chaotic and mesmerizing about a good piece of music. My biggest mantra in life is to live your life to the fullest, whatever that means to you. As a young woman in the 21st century, I hope to learn from others around me and put more happiness in the world than before.
