Hello Doherty students! We are back from break after an added snow day for Worcester’s first big snow of the winter! Now that we are back we should recall one of our most festive events of the year, the Thanksgiving Pep Rally. Here is a quick recap if you didn’t make it or wanted to relive the fun!

First, we started off with welcoming the senior football players and the cheerleaders showed them onto the court with their poster and/or basket! Seniors from other sports were also invited down to the court to take a picture as well. Lots of senior pride!

Now to kick off the event we had students play after they gave their slips for balloon pop stomp, snake i.o. pizza box drop, hungry hungry hippos (shout-out to sophomore class for winning), feather race, as well as Doherty ducks and turkeys going at it for the DECA Duck Fundraiser!! Three special people won gift cards :).

There wasn’t time to play a game of volleyball, but we were able to have some quick trivia ,plus the Colors of Cultures Club come out for our Brazilian Exchange Students with a nice D-High welcome and goodie bag!

So, viewing our first pep rally of the year there was some great school spirit showcased. If you want to play in the February pep rally or have some game suggestions, email Mrs. Falcucci for the information!
