Meet Jidayis Lozada, a sophomore at Doherty Memorial High School who’s passionate about history, has goals of becoming a lawyer, and isn’t afraid to sing or dance! Q: Tell me about your background.
“I am from Worcester and grew up in Worcester, my birthday is January 2nd, 2010 and I speak English.” – Jidayis Lozada, a sophomore here at Doherty Memorial High School said.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies, passions, video games, or special interests? If so, what are they?
“I am interested in things that are happening around the world, I read a lot of articles from every state, country, and city. I like to see what’s happening around the globe.” – Jidayis Lozada.
Q: Did you join any extracurriculars when you were younger? Any after school clubs, organizations, student council, NHS/NJHS, programs, or sports in the past? Are you currently in any? If so, explain.
“I did cheer some of my life and I tried different things.” – Jidayis Lozada.

Q: Do you have any favorite subjects, teachers, star Highlanders/Friends or staff members here at DMHS? If so, tell me a bit about them!
“My favorite subject is history and my favorite teacher is Miss Gaxhi.” – Jidayis Lozada.
Q: Do you have any goals for the future? Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10 years?
“To become a lawyer.” – Jidayis Lozada.
Q: Do you have any notable achievements or awards that you’ve received in the past?
“Cheer medals and basketball trophies.” – Jidayis Lozada.
Q: What is your most favorite place you’ve ever been to? Have you traveled out of the country? What’s your favorite restaurant or hang out location?
“Florida.” – Jidayis Lozada.

Q: What inspires you? Do you have any role models you look up to? What motivates you?
“Martin Luther King — he was a great motivational speaker.” – Jidayis Lozada.
Q: What were some challenges you had to overcome during High School so far? Any advice to fellow Highlanders?
“Meeting new people and making new friends because a lot of people didn’t come from the same school.” – Jidayis Lozada.
Q: What’s a fun or unique fact about you? Any zodiac signs, favorite colors or animals?
“My zodiac sign is Capricorn, favorite color is red, and favorite animal is a Siberian husky.” – Jidayis Lozada.
Q: What are your thoughts on Doherty Memorial High School? Do you feel supported or heard at all? Are there any improvements needed? What are you looking forward too?
“My thoughts are I love the school! It is very nice, they have a lot of supportive staff and it’s a great experience for my first year in high school.” – Jidayis Lozada.

“That pineapples are good on pizza.” – Jidayis Lozada.

“I can sing and dance — I love to do both.” – Jidayis Lozada.
